About NATIA

NATIA is composed of over 2,500 law enforcement, intelligence officers, and support staff, who provide the technical operations, surveillance activities, and scientific support for hundreds of federal, state, and local agencies across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Each year we play host to a growing number of representatives from foreign law enforcement agencies. This is accomplished through a blend of regional and national programs. We hold both regional meetings and an annual national conference where we provide training in new technologies, discuss major developments, conduct workshops, and sponsor a technology exhibition.

Annual Training Conference and Technology Exhibition

The only such organization, training and exhibition of its kind in existence, NATIA hosts an Annual National Training Conference and Technology Exhibition that offers its members over 40 hours of specialized training in technical electronic surveillance techniques, procedures, equipment and issues and advanced training workshops that are not available anywhere else. The technology exhibition showcases over 150 manufacturers and distributors of state-of-the-art surveillance and investigative support products.

Certification

NATIA has developed a Certified Technical Investigator Program for its members. This program was created to establish and maintain up-to-date standards in the Law Enforcement Technical Community. Now in it's third year, the program continues to grow and includes two specialized certifications. For more information see the certification section of the secure website.
